Mr. Jiang’s Mandarin House overcomes staffing challenges and ensures smooth operations with Tarro's solutions.
“Owning a house and running a mom & pop shop with my wife, is a slow and steady happiness.” - Mr. Jiang, Mandarin House, NY
In the bustling streets of Staten Island, amidst the aroma of freshly cooked meals, lies a cozy haven called Mandarin House. This quaint restaurant isn't just a place to satisfy cravings; it's a sanctuary built with love and dedication by Mr. Jiang and his wife.
Mr. Jiang's journey in the culinary world began over a decade ago when he arrived in the United States. Along the way, he dabbled in various roles, from restaurant work to even trying his hand as an Uber driver. However, life took a beautiful turn when he tied the knot with his beloved wife and together they acquired a little house in Staten Island.
Knowing the hardship of running a restaurant, but with the dream of stability and more time together, Mr. Jiang decided to open a restaurant just a stone's throw away from home. Thus, Mandarin House was born, a place where warmth and delicious aromas greet you at the door.
Everything had been smooth since the opening, the couple hired a cook and a delivery driver. Yet, amidst the joy of entrepreneurship, one challenge loomed over Mr. Jiang – finding an experienced front desk, especially for managing the influx of takeout orders. Fluent in English is a must. However, due to the intense work environment, few people are willing to become a front desk at a restaurant. Mr. Jiang picked and picked, but couldn’t find the right candidate - they either didn’t pass the language standard or weren’t efficient enough.
The previous owner of the restaurant suggested Tarro as the solution. It provides much more reliable services compared to human labor.
Tarro, with its efficient phone ordering and unwavering reliability, seamlessly filled the roles of both front desk attendant and customer service representative.
With Tarro by his side, Mr. Jiang found peace of mind amidst the bustling kitchen. No longer did he worry about missing calls while busy cooking, or the stress of finding replacements for absent staff. Tarro became their invaluable ally, allowing Mr. Jiang to focus on his passion for cooking while ensuring every customer query was met with patience and professionalism.
“I wouldn’t be able to run the restaurant without Tarro during this past year. It would be too much work for me,” said Mr. Jiang.
Reflecting on his journey, Mr. Jiang emphasizes the importance of Tarro's stability in restaurant management. In an industry prone to unpredictability, having a dependable partner like Tarro meant uninterrupted service, regardless of staffing challenges or demanding customers.
In addition, Tarro provides outstanding quality of service. Restaurants face unreasonable customers from time to time, asking all kinds of questions, making all kinds of requests, and complaining about not having enough food or seasoning. However, Tarro is always able to resolve these issues with patience and professionalism.
With Tarro, Mr. Jiang is able to focus on his own business and mental health. Tarro isn't just a service provider; they're an integral part of Mandarin House's success story. Through sharing his experience, Mr. Jiang hopes to extend a helping hand to fellow restaurateurs navigating the complexities of entrepreneurship in the United States.
In essence, Tarro isn't just a service; they're the backbone of restaurant owners, ensuring smooth operations and unwavering support, one call at a time.
